Finally - it works!

It has been impossible to access my blog from my laptop all weekend. Anyone who knows me knows how technologically inept I am - I have finally made the trek from the laptop in my room to the desktop in the study.

Saturday am was a fast 18 miles in 138 minutes.
Sunday was 9 miles recovery in 80 minutes.

I have been training for this race technically only since February. However, I was building up my base miles prior to that since I had lost all my fitness around November. I ran and won a 10k in December. This was a fluke - I still dont know how I managed to pull that off!

Training for distances like this teaches you more about who you are than the actual goal. For me, running is something I will continue to do till I'm 80. I know I talk about praying alot. I pray every single day and every single minute of my run. It has helped me in so many ways - I ask for strength, for company and I run with nothing but love in my heart. Love for everything around me and those couple of hours every morning - I feel pure joy; no matter what else the day brings as it goes along.

Sorry for this lame post - but I have been pondering why I do this every single morning. I'm not particularly talented and I am a bit mad - running gives it an outlet.

Thanks for reading - 10 very very tired miles this am followed by 12 laps in the pool. My tummy is still protesting. I have a very limited diet at the moment and this makes Aditi a very sad and grumpy girl :-(!

I don't know how you write things the way you do but I find them touching and inspiring. Have never been able to talk about things that way. maybe guys can't do it :).. do you have an email i could write to. You could write to me at tarkeshwar.singh@gmail.com. Am not really sure if I could ever open up properly on the scraps on orkut. Of course, that is only if you would like to :)
