Never did end up doing the planned 3 in the evening yesterday. My feet were too tender. They still are this morning - massages are great but my right foot always misbehaves for a day or two afterwards! I still ended up doing 10 this morning - Oh the joys of laziness :-))!! Feel weird capping it at 27 miles for 2 days - rounding numbers makes me feel so much better so I *must* get 3 in at some point today. Should not be hard - I'm going to one of my favorite places for lunch in three hours! I also managed a whole mile in the pool after my run - its the most I've done in the longest time and it was glorious. Perfect form - tummy in, back straight, fingers slightly curved inward. 23 minutes, 32 laps. 10 miles in 85 minutes - slow with achy feet but its done. Confession: I had 10 chocolate covered koala biccies as soon as I finished (the packet with the happy koala things on it). The reason being (yes there is one) they are salty (electrolytes) and chocolate in moderate quantities is good for recovery. Furthermore, if you eat the face of the cookie, it doesnt stare at you anymore which means there are no calories! Tell that to my scale *sigh*.
