Before anything - an update. I did not post yesterday. My run should serve as a lesson for anyone attempting 2 hard workouts back-to-back. I had an easy 4 miles - very very slow. The body needed it and I have been listening to it. I have been guilty of doing too much every single day but I need to slow down. I also lost my appetite yesterday (yes, I know *shock* *horror*). Dont worry, it will find me one of these days in the form of ladoos or jalebis. Yes, I am unashamedly Indian when it comes to my sweet tooth. The run was followed by a foot massage by one of those amazing Chinese men. Anyone living in South-east Asia know what I'm talking about. Magic Fingers *sigh* - if only all men were like that!
Anyway, this morning was an easy 12 miles @ 8mph. I've been running with my watch lately - its good to do that once in awhile. I tend not to it too often because i get completely OCD about numbers. Instead of a swim, I had a nice gossip session with my mum on the way back. Singapore has been gorgeous lately.
The first week of the new year has been strange - I have much to report but will hold back. Cannot lose focus.
P.S. if anyone is wondering - I start training for the Sundown Marathon in February. This month I'm trying to cut out sugar. It wont happen - trust me. I look horrible at my training weight - atleast thats my excuse to continue eating the way I do - and I'm sticking to it :-) Oh and I'm doing the 84.5km distance. I signed up for it in a moment of insanity. What was I thinking? Its the hottest month in asia!!
